Halloween is a great excuse to get your kids outside foraging for materials to create their own Spooktacular decorations...with just a little help from trusty Ikea for some super sized eyeballs which you can flat pack after Halloween and bring out year after year to enjoy the witching in a more sustainable way.

All of these Halloween hacks are super simple, super satisfying and SUPER spooky!

Halloween Eyeballs ~ you will need:

* Paper ceiling lamp (a well known Scandinavian homeware store has them suuupa cheap)
* Paint & paint brush (any sort works)
* String to hang

Simply paint a black circle on the outside of the lampshade once opened, leave until dry then add the colour of your eye, repeat on as many lampshades as you’d like, the attach to a seasonal stick about a table, door frame or looks great around a door frame too!

Halloween Ghouls & Bats ~ You will need:

* A halloween helper with a basket to fill
* A big piles of leaves or an autumnal adventure through the woods
* Collect a nice selection of ghoulish shaped leaves from your next outdoor adventure
* Non toxic acrylic paint and brush
* Felt pens for the faces 👻

Paint the leaves black and then some white, leave the orange and rusts ones as is, leave until dry, then add little scary faces with paint or pen if your hand is a little shaky from all the Halloween horror!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
