👻 HALLOWEEN D.I.Y. 🦇 ~ Half Term Activities on a shoestring. All you need is a little paint and some loo roll #whogivesacrap

Bats 🦇
You will need:
~ Loo rolls
~ Black poster paint (non toxic goes without saying I’m sure!)
~ Black card or paper (if you don’t have any you can use recyeld cereal boxes and paint them
~ Tape, glue or a glue gun (we prefer tape, and you can get biodegradable version now 🥳)
~ Scissors (little hands friendly, we advise parental supervision for safety but we do let our kids have as much independence as poss so it’s your call!)
~ String / Wool
How to:
~ Paint your loo rolls black and let them dry completely
~ Fold in the sides of one end of the loo roll, this helps it look more bat like
~ Cut out some wings from your black card or painted cereal boxes. You can use our template online if easier
~ Stick them onto the back of the loo roll
~ Cut out some eyes and fangs, again use our template it’s dead easy, and stick them on the front like our example
Ghosts 👻
You will need:
~ Loo rolls
~ A few 50/60cm strips of loo roll 🧻
~ White poster paint
~ Tape, glue or a glue gun (we prefer tape, and you can get biodegradable version now 🥳)
~ Scissors (little hands friendly, we advise parental supervision for safety but we do let our kids have as much independence as poss so it’s your call!)
~ String / Wool
How to:
~ Paint your loo rolls white and let them dry completely
~ Once dry draw or paint on ghostly faces (use our template if easier)
~ Lay your toilet paper flat and cut into thin strips
~ Tape the strips to the inside of the bottom of the loo rolls to create ghostly tendrils. Snip them to be all different lengths for extra magic
~ Cut 2 strips of string and tape into the inside of the top end of the loo roll. Hang them on your nearest old branch or any safe place you fancy 🤍👌
~ Cut 2 strips of string and tape into the inside of the open end of the loo roll to create stringy little legs. Hang them on your nearest old branch or any safe place you fancy 🖤👌
